Max Frame Rate

Max Frame Rate

Postby Sweeper » Thu Oct 29, 2009 12:13 am

Hi Guys,
Maybe you know that Lockon takes a lot of FPS during the mission, this is not nessecary because it may slow down your computer.
So to fix this you can do the following thing:

Go to the Graphics.cfg and scroll down to bottom.
Than add this at bottom:
MaxFPS = 45;

Of course you can fill in another number, but 45 is good and stable.

Thanks to Sawamura who told me this kind of mod :)

It reduces the FPS...normally Lockon will use as much as possible FPS, but this is really not nessecary....!
So maybe you can run at higher graphics!!

Wouldn't 30 fps be enough?

Well in fact...25 is enough.
At school they teached me: the eye won't see a laggy screen when there are 25 or more frames per second ;-)

45 is a good number.
Ever compared 60 fps, 30 fps and 25 fps movies?

If you go with 25, then you will se little freezes. That would slow down your Lock On.
30 is good but if your PC can handle it, go for 45.
